Create reliable forecasts

You can produce far more reliable results when you feed actual past data into your planning. With past data you can generate a chart with different confidence levels. In this example, you can predict with 95% confidence that the project will end on or before February 29th. How would it feel to have 95% confidence in your project end date?

How long will it take?

One of the most challenging questions at work today is "how long will it take"? Predicting the end date for a project is hard. Some might even say impossible.

Too many variables

There are just too many variables that affect how long a project takes. Sick days, vacations, conferences, shifting priorities, technical issues, design changes.

We're bad estimators

Humans are bad at estimating how long a task will take. We're overly optimistic and error prone. A project end date based on task estimates is almost always wrong.
